English II Homework
Parents,
Progress reports will be out on November 13, but you can access your student's grade at any time using the Power School app. With that being said, I want to bring to your attention an issue that is becoming more problematic for me. I have 28 students in class. When I have one student out for a week, it is to be expected that I enter in zeroes for missing work. However, when I have multiple students turning in work a day or even three days late, Power School is not accurate. So, yes, your student may have turned in work, but you must realize when he/she turns it in with another stack of work, I may not address that stack that day I take it up. For example, last week, my main concern was to return your student's essay and note cards so that he/she could see what was going right and what needed improvement. I do not appreciate a student saying "I turned that in" when he/she was late on the assignment that I had already graded. Please talk to your student about turning things in on time and doing assignments completely (not half-way completed). I do have after school tutoring, as I have reiterated all semester, if he/she is still confused. Also, please be considerate of the other 27 students in class and my time. I cannot drop everything to deal with one student when I have multiple students committing the same offense.
