Honors English II Homework
I went over note cards today again and more in depth. You had seventeen minutes at the end of class to ask me questions and get note cards if you needed them. They are due on Friday.
Do not forget your essay that is due Friday. No homework today or Tuesday night since we have TNReady testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Remember that we meet in the library for testing!

If you did not finish your works cited page today in class, please do so tonight for it is due tomorrow! I will check your citations and adjust the hanging indention if you had difficulty with this. If you have completed this, please work on your essay for Night. It is due next FRIDAY! Make sure that you study for tomorrow's test on Night.
After the test, you will work on your essay about Night in class, and finish it for homework. The essay is due May 3rd. Details, details, details! Explain yourself! Short choppy paragraphs are never acceptable! If you did not finish the Wiesel's "Indifference" speech and questions in class today, please finish these for homework.
Also, don't forget that your Night project is due tomorrow. Make sure that you follow the list and fulfill the objectives! I like depth and description, not simplicity and brief comments. Happy Easter weekend! Over the weekend, please read the short story you selected for your semester project. You should be able to summarize the story and critique it. The guidelines for the project were given to you on a neon yellow piece of paper. This paper structure mimics my expectations for honors English III (junior English). On the back of the paper are the due dates and how many of what that you need for sources and note cards. Please adhere to these due dates. One missed deadline can cause a domino effect! Don't forget to read the short story and answer the questions! We will discuss the story and poem tomorrow and watch a segment of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas tomorrow.
The story and questions for Eve Bunting are due on April 18. Tonight, however, I want you to have a good night's rest so that you are alert and ready for the TNReady writing assessment tomorrow.
Make sure that you finish Night by Wiesel tonight for homework. The reading is from pages 104-115.
Make sure that you read section 7 pages 98-103 over the weekend.
Study for your vocabulary quiz tomorrow!
Don't forget to read section 6 pages 85-97 in Night by Elie Wiesel. |
